Tuition & Financial Aid
Providing a therapeutic education is not inexpensive, and, of course, setting a yearly tuition cost is necessary for an independent school. In some instances, expenses incurred by attendance at Pilot School may be treated as medical deductions by the IRS.
The Board of Trustees has historically kept yearly tuition charges many thousands of dollars below the actual cost to deliver a Pilot education. The school’s plan is that support from the Annual Fund appeal will make up the financial difference each year.
The Pilot School understands that families sometimes need financial assistance. Financial aid is discussed during the initial visit. Any family may apply for financial assistance through our tuition aid program, where grants are based on need, and determined on a case-by-case basis. Parents are encouraged to discuss fees and financial aid with the Director.
Financial aid applications may be accessed via the School Scholarship Service web site. Reference Pilot School Code # 5784 on the application. Pilot 2021-2022 Tuition Aid and Instructions. All forms are also available in hard copy from the Business Office if preferred.
All enrollment deposits and tuition are to be paid through our tuition partner, Smart Tuition.
